A FOOD and drink festival scheduled to take place this weekend has been put off for a month.

The Everyone Eats event in Middlesbrough's Centre Square will now take place on October 14-15.

The free event is a food and drink festival with a difference as it ensures there is something to eat for everyone including vegan, halal, gluten free, organic, vegetarian or dairy free.

The weekend will also see talented local chefs displaying their cookery skills, artisan food producers, street foods, live music and entertainment for children.

While Oktoberfest is due to take place the week after food festival on Friday, October 21 and Saturday, October 22 and the square will also host the Magical Middlesbrough Christmas events.
