A MAN has today been charged with attempted murder following a serious assault on an 18-year-old woman.
It happened on Marton Road in Longlands, Middlesbrough, in the early hours of Saturday, April 29th.
The 21-year-old man has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Teesside Magistrates’ Court on Monday.
The teenage victim remains in James Cook University Hospital, Middlesbrough, in a stable condition.
She was initially described as critical when she was admitted following the attack, which happened around 3am.
Police, who were alerted by a member of the public, said that she had suffered significant injurie
