POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a collision left an elderly man with facial injuries.
The collision happened at the junction of Park Vale Road and Southfield Road in Middlesbrough at around 5.05pm on Monday, January 9, and involved a grey Mercedes Benz and a 73-year-old male pedestrian.
The pedestrian suffered facial injuries for which he underwent surgery at James Cook University Hospital. He remains in hospital recovering from surgery.
Any witnesses are asked to contact PC Joseph Myers on the non-emergency number 101, quoting event number 004993.
