Deputy Chief Constable Simon Nickless said: “Becoming a PCSO is a great opportunity for anyone who wishes to work in their local community and be part of a public service. Special Constables play a vital role in keeping our neighbourhoods safe with the experience and skills they offer complementing those of our regular officers. It is a demanding but hugely rewarding role. Those who wish to apply need to be committed to serving the community and an understanding of what communities need as well as a strong commitment to making a difference.”

Events for prospective candidates to find out more information will be held at Teesside University’s Centuria Building between Wednesday, January 25 and Friday 27.
