RESIDENTS in an area of Middlesbrough are being asked for their views on a potential future flood scheme.
The Environment Agency wants to improve the protection to properties from flooding from Marton West beck.
Representatives from the Environment Agency, Northumbrian Water and Middlesbrough Council will be available to speak to residents during drop-ins this month.
Environment Agency Project Manager Ted Thomas said: “We want to know more about flooding in the area and the previous experiences of residents so we can fully understand the flood risk.
“We also want to hear the community’s thoughts on potential flood defence improvements in the area. I’d urge people to come along to the drop-ins so we can gather as much information as possible.”
Northumbrian Water’s customer engagement vehicle will be at the following locations: Glendale Road Green Space, 10am to noon and at Carnoustie Way lay-by from 1pm to 3pm on January 20, and at Centre Square from 10am to noon and Clairville Common car park from 1pm to 3pm on January 21.
Residents can drop by at any point between the times indicated.
