TWO men were arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving after a crash which closed Kirkleatham Lane in Redcar.
A 25-year-old and a 43-year-old were arrested following the four-car collision just after 1.30pm on Friday.
Two adults and two children were taken to hospital, but their injuries were not thought to be serious.
A bronze BMW, a black Nissan Qashqai, a white Citreon C3 and a red BMW were involved in the accident, which led to the road being closed.
The Great North Air Ambulance was called out to the scene, but was not needed.
The two men remain in custody.
