FAIRGROUND rides will roll into the Riverside Stadium in Middlesbrough this Sunday for an evening of thrill-seeking family fun.

The huge fairground will feature more than 30 spine chilling rides including a roller coaster, ghost train and crooked cottage.

Doors to the one day fair open at 3pm with organisers, TFM Radio, encouraging all those attending to dress up in their best scary costumes and get in the spirit of Halloween.

As well as the rides, a stage will feature live bands and entertainment throughout the afternoon and early evening with a surprise appearance from one of the Boro’s first team players, Roary the lion and Dracula himself.

Organiser Dominic Munnelly from TFM said: “We’re promising a safe, fun event for families to enjoy Halloween together.

"Celebrating Halloween has become more and more popular in recent years so what better way to do this then by a creating a themed event where everyone can come together for a good time."

Stage entertainment includes performances of ‘Thriller’ from Teesside’s Maloney Dance School and live music from local talent including Danielle Brown, Jodie Fitzgibbon and Craig Roddam.

The event also aims to support The Middlesbrough FC Foundation with a donation of money and free tickets as well as collections on the night.

Entrance tickets are available in advance from www.tfmradio.co.uk/spooky or the MFC club shop costing £2 adults and £1 for under16s; under threes go free. Doors open at 3pm and the event closes at 8pm.
