POLICE have arrested a 29-year-old following a pizza shop attack which left a Middlesbrough man fighting for his life.
Cleveland Police arrested the male suspect earlier today (Tuesday, July 19) and he was later released on bail.
The 48-year-old victim of the takeaway attack, which happened outside Gigi’s Pizza Shop, is still in a critical condition at James Cook University Hospital.
The incident happened at about 2.05am on July 9 outside the Linthorpe Road takeawayand detectives would still like to speak to a number of people who helped with first aid at the scene who have yet to come forward.
