A JUNIOR football team has secured sponsorship for next season - in which they hope to win the division.
Cargo Fleet Juniors Football Club, in Middlesbrough, was given £420 by housebuilder Taylor Wimpey to buy new tracksuits for the forthcoming season.
The under 12s team, based at Thorntree Park Pavilion, has been going from strength to strength, playing in both division one of the North Riding League and division six of the Teesside Junior Football Alliance League.
Daniel Heseltine, manager of the under 12s team, said: “The new tracksuits are invaluable for the under 12s team.
“We are hoping to win the division again for the season and the players are training regularly. The new tracksuits have increased their motivation on the football pitch and we are already seeing great results.”
Debbie Whittingham, sales and marketing director at Taylor Wimpey North Yorkshire, said: “Cargo Fleet Juniors creates great opportunities for children throughout Middlesbrough. We wanted to show our appreciation.”
