A PUBLIC consultation is being launched over plans to extend Middlesbrough's Parkway Shopping Centre.

The new owners of the Coulby Newham centre are in the process of developing plans to extend and they want to hear the public’s views.

Zoe France, Centre Manager said the proposed expansion comes in response to local research, which revealed there was scope for retail expansion in the area.

The consultation event, which is open to the public, will be held at the Parkway Shopping Centre in Unit 12, formerly Cooper & Barr Opticians on Friday (April 22) from noon - 7pm and the following day from 10am - 3pm.

Representatives from the Parkway Shopping Centre and the project team will be on hand to introduce the plans and answer any questions in relation to the proposed development.

Residents who are not able to attend the consultation will be able to access information about the proposed development and complete an online questionnaire at www.parkwayshopping.co.uk from Monday, April 25.
