Two cars stolen after owners leave engines on to warm up
POLICE have urged motorists not to leave their cars running and unattended to de-ice after two vehicles were stolen on Thursday morning.
A white Ford Ranger was stolen at 7am from Darlington Back Lane, in Stockton, but was later recovered in Weardale Place, Stockton.
A silver Toyota Yaris was taken at 8am from an address in Kedlestone Park in Marton, Middlesbrough.
The vehicle is still missing.
Police are ivestigating both thefts.
A spokesman for Cleveland Police said: "Please don't leave your car running and unattended! It takes just seconds to steal a car."
