A HOUSE in the Berwick Hills area of Middlesbrough suffered heavy smoke damage after a fire broke out in an upstairs bedroom.
Two fire crews from Middlesbrough were called to an address in Langridge Crescent at 8.07pm tonight (Monday, November 16) and were at the scene within six minutes.
They used a jet two breathing apparatus, a thermal imaging camera and a positive pressure ventilation fan.
A spokeswoman for Cleveland Fire Brigade said the bedroom suffered 20 per cent fire damage and 80 per cent heavy smoke damage while the rest of the house also suffered heat and smoke damage.
