A motorcyclist who was involved in a collision on the A174 on Friday 9th October died in hospital last night, Saturday, October 10.
30-year-old Richard Bell from the Ormesby area of Middlesbrough was taken to James Cook University Hospital following the collision at 8.10am on Friday, on the A174 eastbound as it passes under Flatts Lane overbridge.
He was riding a silver Honda motorcycle which was involved in a collision with a silver Volkswagen Polo.
Officers would like to appeal for witnesses to this collision or anyone who may have seen the motorcyclist prior to it, who have not already spoken to them. Anyone with information is asked to contact PC Carlo Orsi from the Cleveland and Durham Specialist Operations Unit on the non-emergency number 101, quoting event number 177833.
