A LEADING cancer charity is urging County Durham and Tees Valley residents to take a sponsored plunge from the iconic Transporter Bridge.
So far more than 60 people in the North-East have registered to take part in the Macmillan Zip Slide from the iconic Middlesbrough bridge to raise funds for local people affected by cancer.
Macmillan is delighted at the response but are hoping even more people will get signed up to take part on August 15.
All participants must be over ten years old – and children must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian - and in good health.
