A JUNIOR football team has been sponsored by a housebuilder.
Taylor Wimpey, which is building hundreds of homes in Middlesbrough, is sponsoring Hemlington Juniors to the tune of £750 this season.
It is the second year of sponsorship to buy match day kits for the players.
Anthony Walker, chairman at Hemlington Juniors Football Club, said: “We have grown rapidly since launching last year and a lot of that is down to sponsors and donations from companies like Taylor Wimpey, so we can’t thank them enough.”
Hemlington Juniors Football Club opened in 2014 and currently has four teams, ranging from under nines to under 17s.
Taylor Wimpey is building homes in Stainton, near Hemlington; Marton Road and Hall Drive in Acklam, Middlesbrough.
