CLEVELAND Police officers and volunteers have received awards in a ceremony held at the University of Teesside.
Almost 40 individuals and teams were nominated for awards alongside Chief Constable Jacqui Cheer, who was presented with an award for her contribution to national policing at the ceremony.
One of the major titles went to Stockton Town Centre Integrated Neighbourhood Team who won Neighbourhood and Partnership Policing Team of the Year for reducing crime.
Detective Sergeant Daryll Tomlinson was awarded a Crime and Justice Command Leadership Award for his work in the area of child sexual exploitation and Inspector Mark Hall was chosen as the overall winner of the Outstanding Contribution to Policing in Cleveland Award for his work within the force control room.
Chief Constable Jacqui Cheer received recognition for her contribution to national policing, as former national lead for Children & Young Persons and current national lead for Professional Ethics and Professional Standards.
