About 450 children descended on Centre Square to perform the piece, written by composer Anna Meredith, using clapping, stamping and shouting sounds to create the music.
They learned the piece by watching footage on Centre Square's big TV screen, before they all came together for one final performance.
Middlesbrough's Town Hall team has been working with 18 schools, and the BBC, to inspire children and youngsters with classical music.
They have been learning to sing, dance, and create their own music, and came together at the Town Hall on Friday to share their work in a concert, Classical Creations.
Yesterday's piece, called Connect It, was the finale of the programme.
