POLICE are appealing for help in tracing a 19-year-old man who officers believe might be trying to walk to Scotland.
Daniel McArthur from Middlesbrough has not been seen since about lunch time yesterday (Monday, June1).
It is out of character for him not to return home.
He is white, about 6ft 6ins tall and of slim build with collar length hair and brown eyes.
He was wearing a grey Superdry top, blue Superdry jeans a light green waterproof jacket and brown walking boots.
Police believe he may have travelled to Bishop Auckland and may be trying to walk to Scotland.
A spokesperson for Cleveland Police said: "Daniel is thought to have camping/survival equipment on him and people are asked to contact police if they have perhaps seen him or evidence of him having spent the night camping out in their neighbourhood.
"Please contact Cleveland Police on the non-emergency number 101."
