CONCERNS are growing for a missing woman from who hasn't been seen since Saturday (May 23) night.

Alison Stamps, from Ouston, near Chester-le-Street, County Durham was last seen leaving Boots at the retail park in Bishop Auckland, where she works as a Pharmacist, at 11pm last night.

She was wearing a black jacket with a checked hood, black trousers, black shoes and a black handbag. Alison has very long dark hair and wears glasses.

The 33-year-old left work in her car, a blue 3-door Mini Cooper, which has a white roof and the registration AS14MPS. It is believed she may still be in the Bishop Auckland area.

Inspector Kevin Maddick, of Durham police, said: "It is completely out of character for Alison not to have contacted her family, she was also due to start work at 10am this morning for which she did not turn up. Her family and friends are extremely worried about her and are appealing to the public for help in finding Alison safe and well."

Meanwhile, Cleveland police say there have been possible sightings in Whitby of a man who went missing after being discharged from Middlesbrough's James Cook University Hospital last Thursday (May 21).

Paul Dalgarno, 44, is thought to have been seen in the coastal resort on Friday (May 22) afternoon and evening.

Anyone with information about either individual should contact police on the non-emergency number 101.
