A PENSIONER suffered a broken elbow when she was pushed to the ground and had her bag snatched.

The 70-year-old victim and her husband were walking on Captain Cook's Crescent, Marton, Middlesbrough, when she was targeted at about 8.45pm on Thursday, May 7.

A man riding a small bike rode past the elderly couple, pushed the woman to the floor and stole her pink handbag.

The suspect is described as white, aged in his early twenties, of medium build with brown, straight and unkempt hair, facial hair and glasses and was wearing a dark red/maroon waterproof style jacket.

As a result of the incident the victim has a broken elbow which requires surgery at James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough.
