POLICE are appealing for information following an attempted robbery in Middlesbrough.
The incident took place at around 5.50pm on Monday (January 19), as two women walked along Grange Road from the direction of McDonalds towards the C&S Tyres.
A male followed them on a pedal bike and attempted to steal one of the women’s handbags. The woman resisted and the man made off empty handed.
The male is described as white, aged in his early to mid-20s, betwee 5ft 6in and 5ft 10in, with a pale complexion and short, dark hair which is shaved at the back and sides.
He was wearing a high-visibility jacket, dark coloured bottoms. He was riding a dark coloured pedal bike.
