COMEDIAN Alan Carr has confirmed a third date at Middlesbrough Town Hall.

The TV funnyman previously announced gigs on Sunday, April 19 and Thursday, July 30, and promoters have moved quickly to add an extra date on Wednesday, July 29.

The three shows will mark a welcome return for the Chatty Man four years after his last sell-out visit to Middlesbrough.

Graham Ramsay of promoters Ten Feet Tall, which works alongside the Town Hall to deliver the venue’s comedy programme, said: “The tour’s already massive, so when we asked about a third date we thought it was a real long shot. We were naturally delighted when his management came straight back saying that Alan loves the North East, and that he was well up for squeezing an extra show in.

“We’ve been lucky enough to work with Alan a good few times over the years, right from his early days starting out, and he’s always a real pleasure to be around.”

Tickets, costing £30, go on sale at 10am on Friday (January. 23).
