A PARANORMAL investigator is launching her latest book in a venue reputed to have its own ghost.

Rebecca Hall will be telling spooky tales from Haunted Teesside at Middlesbrough Reference Library, on Friday, October 24.

The book features eyewitness sightings in long abandoned factories and mines, cold spots in public houses, poltergeists in council houses and even Middlesbrough’s very own Central Library.

She said: “I am delighted to be launching Haunted Teesside at Middlesbrough Central Library. Guests may even encounter the library’s own resident ghost during the course of the event.

“This book explores some of Teesside’s most notoriously haunted venues, along with some lesser known locations and tells the chilling tales of the people who have experienced their spooks and spectres first hand.

“It is not my place to say whether or not ghosts exist. It is up to the reader to make up their own mind after reading the accounts for themselves.”

Councillor Brenda Thompson, Middlesbrough Council’s executive member for supporting communities, said: “With Halloween just around the corner it is the perfect time to enjoy these other worldly tales – especially with Central Library itself being one of the settings.”

Places are limited at the free event, which starts at 7pm, and must be reserved in advance by calling 01642-729001.
