A TEENAGE woman was attacked and robbed as she walked through Middlesbrough.

The robbery took place at around 12.10pm on Tuesday, September 9 as the 18-year-old walked through Ayresome Gardens towards Linthorpe Road.

She was approached by a man riding a small silver bike who grabbed her mobile phone from her hand and began to make off towards Linthorpe Road.

The suspect then fell from his bike and the victim managed to grab her phone back. He then attempted to grab the woman’s handbag and kicked the victim before climbing back onto his bike and riding off towards Park Road North.

The suspect is described as a white male, aged in his mid-20s, of very thin build, with a very pale complexion and a wrinkly forehead. He was wearing a white coloured silk hooded top with the hood down and white silk tracksuit bottoms with a single dark stripe down the side of both legs.
