'NASTY' Nick from EastEnders is swapping Albert Square for Middlesbrough Theatre where the iconic villain will be performing in Jack and the Beanstalk.
Playing the giant’s henchman, Fleshcreep, in the popular pantomime, John Altman will be frightening audiences of all ages, just as he has done on the small screen for 30 years.
He is still wearing his leathers, but is now donning an elaborate pirate-style ensemble instead of his trademark biker jacket.
And instead of making the life of his long-suffering mother, Dot Cotton, a misery, he will be taunting Fairy Vegetable.
Mr Altman said he would also be picking on people in the audience to ensure he received a deafening number of boos and hisses.
“I will definitely be menacing and evil,” he said.
Theatre manager, David Lindsey, said advance tickets were selling well for the show, which has been devised and directed by David Vickers and Richard Chandler.
“Despite all the gloom that’s happening in the world and people’s financial constraints, they want to have a great Christmas and panto is one of the last things to go," he added.
Jack and the Beanstalk is being performed at Middlesbrough Theatre from Friday, December 5 to Sunday, January 4. For ticket information call the box office on 01642-815181 or 01642-729729.
