RECORDS: Edwin Jeffries presents the pictorial record of last year’s service to Gill Alexander
TRADE unions in Hartlepool are urging the local community to get involved in a special remembrance event in the town on Workers’ Memorial Day.
The annual Remembrance Service and Wreath-Laying Ceremony takes place this year on Saturday, April 28.
The event commemorates those who have been either killed or injured in workplace accidents.
Due to ongoing restoration work in Church Square around Christ Church. the service and wreath-laying ceremony this year will take place in the refectory area of the new Cleveland College of Art and Design campus on Church Street.
The event starts at 11.45am.
