Seaham Coastguard was called to the north sands area of Hartlepool by Cleveland Police
POLICE and coastguard teams were called to search for a man threatening to self harm in the north sands area of Hartlepool.
Seaham Coastguard was called to the scene by Cleveland Police at around 6.17pm on Wednesday evening and liased with police to prepare a search plan.
The officers carried out an extensive search of the coastline and after receiving further information about the man, he was found and taken into the care of the police.
