TEES Valley Mayor Ben Houchen has been rendered speechless over the misspelling of Teesside on a local road sign.
The Mayor took to Twitter to express his astonishment over the signs, on the A171 Guisborough to Whitby road, which spells it twice as 'Teeside'.
The signs are understood to be just on the North Yorkshire side of the boundary, close to the turn-off for the village of Castleton.
Mr Houchen tweeted: "Wh... what on earth is this?" above a picture of the signs.
