A CYCLIST suffered serious injuries after being hit by a jeep.

The 35-year-old was hit by the jeep in a small car park, close to the junction with Park Road South and Park Vale Road, Middlesbrough.

The injured cyclist was taken to James Cook University Hospital with serious leg fractures after the incident, at about 3pm on Wednesday, October 25.

Police officers believe there were several men who were working in the area at the time who may have witnessed what happened.

They were standing close to two white vans in the same car park as the incident.

Police are asking for these people to get in touch with them as they may be able to assist with their inquiries.
