A NORTH-East MEP has been appointed to two roles by the new leader of UKIP.
Jonathan Arnott is now political advisor and treasury spokesman for the party.
He said he was "delighted" to have been appointed to the positions.
New leader Henry Bolton announced his party's main line-up this week, with 26 other MEPs and party members involved.
Mr Arnott, 38, said: “I look forward to working with them as the Party must now move forward."
The former Sheffield school teacher announced his intention to stand for the leadership in 2016 but withdrew a month later.
Mr Bolton said last night: "UKIP has a moral obligation to hold the government to account for taking us out of the European Union."
