A SECOND cannabis farm has been discovered in a town - the day after a haul worth half a million pounds was uncovered by police.
Yesterday officers received a tip-off about a unit on South Gare Court, on Tod Point Road, Redcar, and uncovered a cannabis farm with about 250 plants, worth at least £250,000 on the streets.
A male suspect escaped through a skylight but was detained by officers.
Police thanked the public for coming forward with information and said: "Can we make it three days in a row?"
On Thursday police raided a home in Henry Street and seized plants worth between £500,000 and £700,000. Those behind the cannabis farm had bypassed the property's electricity supply and hooked up to the mains.
Anyone with information about cannabis farms in their neighbourhood can inform police by calling 101.
