A 44-YEAR-old man suffered serious head injuries following an assault outside a pub.
The man was attacked following a row in Osbournes pub in Yarm on Friday, April 14, between 11pm and 11.30pm.
The victim became involved in a row, but after he left the pub and crossed the road outside, the man approached him and punched him in the head from behind, causing him to bang his head and face on the floor.
While on the floor it is believed the man then kicked the victim in the head and torso area and then ran off.
As a result of the assault the victim suffered a fractured skull, a broken nose, bruising to the ribs and two black eyes and he received treatment at the University Hospital of North Tees.
The male suspect is described as being white, between 25 to 27-years old, around 5ft 8ins tall, of stocky build with short blond hair combed forward and he was clean shaven. He was wearing a dark t-shirt and navy blue jeans.
