A MAN who drove a BMW car dangerously during a high speed police pursuit has been warned by a judge that all sentencing options are open on him.
Daryl Rickerby, 25, of Amberton Road, Hartlepool, eluded police during a chase in the town on February 19 this year until finally being caught and arrested.
Martin Scarborough, representing Rickerby at Teesside Crown Court, said he hoped his client’s lack of previous convictions could mean an alternative to immediate jail could be looked at.
Judge Peter Armstrong adjourned the hearing until April 25 for a pre-sentence report after Rickerby pleaded guilty to dangerous driving.
The judge ruled nothing out and said all options, including jail, were open in terms of sentence. He also gave Rickerby an interim 12 month driving ban.
