A PENSIONER has knocked out a robber's tooth when he fought back as he was being attacked and robbed.

The 84-year-old was targeted at around 11.50pm, on Thursday, February 2, as he walked towards the pizza shop on Fabian Court from the direction of Eston Labour Club, near Middlesbrough.

The suspect approached the victim and punched him in the face, causing him to fall to the floor. He then took the victim’s wallet from his pocket and stole a small amount of cash from inside.

During the struggle, the victim punched the suspect in the face – knocking out a tooth.

The victim was taken to Middlesbrough's James Cook University Hospital for treatment for facial injuries.

The suspect is described as a white male, around 6ft tall, of skinny build with a local accent. He was wearing a black hooded top with the hood up, dark denim bottoms and baseball style trainers high over his ankles.
