A YOUNG boy needed hospital treatment after being hit by a motorbike and losing several teeth and suffering facial cuts.
The seven-year-old was knocked over in a hit-and-run incident by a man riding a Yamaha motorbike on Hury Road in Norton, Stockton, on Friday, June 3 at around 6.15pm.
The youngster was taken to James Cook University Hospital where he was treated for loss of several teeth and facial cuts. He was kept in for observation.
A 20-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of failing to stop and causing serious injury by dangerous driving. He has been released on bail pending further enquiries.
Anyone with information regarding the collision is asked to contact PC Andrew Overton from the Cleveland and Durham Specialist Operations Unit on the non-emergency number 101, quoting event number 098742.
