TWO police officers responding to a call-out were rushed to hospital after a crash with a drink driver.
Cleveland and Durham Roads Policing Unit revealed details of the incident, on Thursday night, this morning.
They said two officers from Hartlepool were responding to an emergency call from the public when a drunk driver pulled out of a junction in front of them on York Road, Hartlepool, causing a collision.
The unit said: ""These officers never made it to the emergency call and instead went to A & E.
"Let's hope for a speedy recovery for both officers.
"Even one drink may be one too many."
