A MAN whose body was found at the Headland in Hartlepool was in his 30s.
The family of the victim have been informed following the discovery on Saturday.
Cleveland Police say they were called to Heugh Breakwater at 11.20am where the body was recovered.
A post-mortem was carried out on Saturday afternoon.
"Police have now identified the man who was found earlier today at the Headland in Hartlepool and his family have been informed," said a spokeswoman for the force.
"A post-mortem has taken place on the man who was in his 30s and police are continuing to treat his death as unexplained."
