A 34-YEAR-old man has been charged with grievous bodily harm with intent following an incident which left a man with a serious head injury.
The incident took place on Cornwall Street, close to Uppingham Street, in Hartlepool on Saturday, October 3 at around 8.15pm.
The 30-year-old victim suffered a significant head injury and remains in James Cook University Hospital.
The accused man, who is from the Hartlepool area, will appear at the town's Magistrates Court on Wednesday.
