A COUNCIL-RUN school holiday club for children rated 'outstanding' by Ofsted inspectors has announced a host of activities for half term.

The Hartlepool holiday club called Oscars has unveiled a week of activities during the October half term school holiday break for children aged three to 16 at West Hartlepool Rugby Club on Catcote Road.

During the half term break, parents are able drop off their children from 8.00am with breakfast provided for them on arrival. They then embark on an action-packed day of fun and thrills prior to being collected by parents by 5.45pm.

A wide range of activities have been lined up for youngsters as Sandra Robinson, the Council’s Out of School Coordinator, explains: “The team have put together a varied programme which includes fun with food, sports and games, film and toy day plus visits to Summerhill and Burn Valley Gardens.

“We are going to round the week off with a Halloween Party when children will have the option to come in fancy dress and we’ll have some prizes for the best costumes."

The latest Ofsted report said: "Children are extremely happy, confident and well cared for at the very welcoming and inclusive club."
