A 13-YEAR-old girl was airlifted to hospital with serious head injuries after being hit by a car in Hartlepool just before 2pm on Friday.
The teenager was flown to James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough in four minutes by the Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS).
A spokeswoman for the GNAAS said that she arrived at hospital in a critical, but stable, condition.
No-one from Cleveland Police was available for comment.
