DETECTIVES trying to find a known criminal have warned anyone harbouring him that they may be committing a criminal offence.

Cleveland Police are trying to find Adrian Craigs, 31, of Hartlepool who is wanted in connection with a number of offences including breach of bail, actual bodily harm, false imprisonment, common assault and driving under the influence of alcohol.

Chief Superintendent Glenn Gudgeon said: “I am certain that someone knows of the whereabouts of Adrian Craigs and would warn anyone who may be harbouring him that they could potentially be committing a criminal offence.

“I believe that he is still in the Hartlepool area and I appeal to him directly to hand himself in.”

Police first issued an appeal for information to find find Craigs on Tuesday, September 8 and warned the public not to approach him but call the police.

Anyone who sees him is asked not to approach him but to call 999 and anyone who may know of his whereabouts is also asked to call 999, or the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
