POLICE are hunting three men after a 37-year-old Hartlepool man had chemicals thrown in his face during an attack.
The victim wwas on his way to visit family at around 11pm on Friday, July 10 when he was set upon by three other men and had an unknown substance, possibly ammonia, was poured on his face.
The attack took place on a side road leading from Elwick Road in the town.
During the assault, the man's jaw was broken.
The three men ran off.
Police said there was no description of the men.
