POLICE are appealing for witnesses to a collision in Hartlepool which left a pensioner with possible internal injuries.
The collision took place at around 9.30am on Monday in Wiltshire Way and involved a silver Vauxhall Astra and an elderly pedestrian.
The 75-year-old man suffered facial fractures, fractured ribs and possible internal injuries.
He was taken to the University Hospital of North Tees for treatment.
Any witnesses are asked to contact PC Paul Callaghan at the Cleveland and Durham Specialist Operations Unit on the non-emergency 101 number, quoting reference number 30476.
