FUNDING is still available for projects that aim to get more Hartlepool people active but clubs and groups are reminded that the December 1 deadline for bids is fast approaching.
The Community Activities Network (CAN), a partnership of organisations that promotes and provides sport and physical activity opportunities in the town, has a pot of money that it is seeking to distribute to local groups.
The maximum award per project is £10,000 a year and the funding is aimed at projects scheduled to start in March next year.
Applications will be considered from groups and organisations outside of Hartlepool, but only if they can show that they attract people from the town whose needs cannot be met from within Hartlepool.
