A SCHOOL has marked Europe
Day by dressing up for the
occasion, with staff and pupils
donning national costumes
from across the Continent.
Levendale School, Yarm,
celebrated the 58th
anniversary of the birth of the
European Union with a
breakfast of croissants,
cheese, meats, a Spanish
omelette and fresh fruit.
Class registers were taken in
European languages, and
songs, dancing and music
from the Continent were
performed.
A spokeswoman for the
school said: "It is hoped the
day will enrich and bring to life
the pupils' understanding of
the other countries within
Europe and ignite their
curiosity to learn more.''
