TWO people have been robbed at knife-point while sitting in a car parked in Stockton.

The driver and passenger handed over their mobile phones - a black Samsung S8 Edge and a Samsung Galaxy A5 - when they were targeted on Eastbourne Road at the junction of Larch Road.

The robbery happened between 11.15pm on Monday, July 17 and 12.30am on Tuesday when two men approached the vehicle and one of them was in possession of a knife.

Both males made threats towards the victims and demanded they hand over their mobile phone.

A Cleveland Police spokeswoman said: "It is believed the first man was carrying the knife and he is described as being white, of average build with long dark brown hair which was combed back and he was aged between 23-27-years-old and spoke with a slight Irish accent. He was also wearing a blue polo neck jumper, blue trousers and black trainers.

"The second man is described as being white, of skinny build with a short shaven head and aged between 20-30-years-old and was wearing a light grey hoody."

The male victims, aged 52-years-old and 46-years-old were uninjured.
