AN EXHIBITION for shoppers is expected to bring the Jurassic world roaring into life with a display of interactive dinosaurs.

Four pre-historic dinosaurs will be taking up residence in the North-East’s Teesside Park shopping centre, in Stockton, with larger-than-life displays of the creatures throughout the park.

A five-metre tall tyrannosaurus rex will take centre stage during the displays until early September, with visitor movements triggering the dinosaur to roar and shake at shoppers.

A stegosaurus, triceratops and velociraptor will also be in place alongside a dinosaur-themed sand pit for children in front of the park’s Mothercare shop, face painting, crafts and Jurassic games.

Mike Clarke, Teesside Park centre director, said: “With the school summer holidays now officially under way, we’re really excited to have our new dinosaur exhibition here for the first time.

“We know that keeping the kids entertained during the holidays can be tricky, so we’re pleased to bring the free exhibition and events to our shoppers’ doorsteps.

“I’m sure families will enjoy meeting the dinosaurs as they pop in to the centre to shop, enjoy a meal or watch a film.”

The free exhibition is open from 9am until 8pm, Monday to Saturday, and 11am until 5pm on Sundays.
