AN INSIGHT into archaeological excavations and artefacts found during North-East digs will be explored during an upcoming workshop.

As part of the River Tees Rediscovered project, members of the Tees Archaeology team are delivering a series of community archaeology projects, funded by the Heritage Lottery.

The Archaeological Artefacts Workshop will be hosted in Stockton’s Preston Park Museum on Wednesday, April 5, with a maximum of 16 places free to book.

Workshop participants will be split into four groups with each group examining one artefact before moving on to the next item.

The workshop will run between 10am and 3.30pm.
