A SECOND man has tonight been arrested in connection with a serious assault inside a Stockton takeaway.
The arrest of a 29-year-old at 6.50pm this evening follows the earlier arrest of a 19-year-old in Woodland Street, Stockton, this morning on suspicion of attempted murder.
Cleveland Police were called to the Like Eat Takeaway on Tarring Street, Stockton at 6.20pm on Tuesday.
A 31-year-old man was taken to the James Cook University Hospital. Middlesbrough, where he was treated for knife wound injuries to his arm, leg and torso. He was said to be in a stable condition.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing
