THE body of a man found in Hartlepool Marina has been formally identified as a missing man from Cornwall.
Andrew Roy, 51, had been missing since Thursday, February 9, and police issued appeals for information to trace him. While he was from Cornwall, he had been working in the Hartlepool area.
His body was recovered from the marina on Monday.
Cleveland Police thanked people who had supported the police appeals and the many organisations which helped with the search.
A spokeswoman said: "A file will now be passed to the Coroner and our thoughts are with Andrew’s friends and family at this difficult time."
